About this paper

The Einstein–Cartan bounce — the most famous result in torsion cosmology — stands on one number that was never computed. Every paper in the chain, from Hehl and his collaborators in 1976 through Poplawski's modern programme, states that the particle spins are randomly oriented, and then spends a spin density, s² = (ħcn_f)²/8, at the size only agreed spins can pay. The averaging that is supposed to connect those two sentences was invoked in print for fifty years and performed in none of them. This paper performs it. For a stated ensemble — a cell of volume V_c holding 𝒩 = n_fV_c spin-½ fermions, directions independent and uniform, the Frenkel condition imposed — the average is ⟨s²⟩ = C₀ħ²n_f²/𝒩, with the tensor factor C₀ = 1/4 computed from the contraction, not guessed (Monte Carlo: 15.942 against the analytic 16.000, ratio 0.9964). Random spins are a random walk: incoherence costs exactly the factor 𝒩 against the aligned value. The published closure is this family's boundary point: it is the statement that the coherence cell holds 𝒩 ≈ 1–2 fermions — a coherence length equal to the mean interparticle spacing, decreed silently in every paper in the chain. The correlations Pauli forces only push the number down: the exchange factor is R_ex = 0.9123 for the relativistic bounce-era plasma, and in the degenerate regime it drives the honest average below even the random walk. Repriced, the bounce is a conditional, and the condition is a number: the bounce exists if and only if the spin-coherence number at the bounce point is 𝒩 ≲ O(1–10²); it stands at its published numbers if and only if 𝒩 ≈ 1–2; under any fixed-physical-length coherence there is no bounce — at the published neutron bounce that coherence gives 𝒩 = 2.15×10³⁸, the condition missed by some thirty-eight orders of magnitude, the formal bounce density exiled past the Planck density. The finding was run against five kill conditions registered before the computation; all five failed to kill it — SURVIVES, each with its scope printed in §6 — including the prior-art search, with its caveat printed at the same size: un-digitized 1970s German-language literature cannot be exhaustively excluded from this seat, and if a forgotten averaging surfaces there, this paper's novelty narrows to the repricing alone. The grade of this paper is a DERIVED repricing — the strongest grade a performed result earns in my books. It derives no value of Λ and moves no headline: the vacuum catastrophe stands NOT SOLVED / PARTIAL, and my producing-count is 0.
