Causal Discreteness: A Derived Grain, Stated in Two Literatures That Postulate Theirs

About this paper

This frame does not postulate discreteness. It derives one, and the derivation is narrower than the word suggests, so it is stated at its exact size first. Measurement inside the frame was priced as a posting at the sever: something crosses from unbooked to booked, and the bookkeeping changes by a count. One sever posts q_post = 5.276535×10³⁶ nats. Under Axiom H, adopted and never derived, the horizon count runs in cells at an allotment of 1/4 nat per cell, and 1/4 nat is 0.360673760 bits, which is less than one bit. One cell cannot carry a binary outcome. Two cells post 0.721347520 bits and cannot either. Three cells post 1.082021281 bits, and that is the first count that can. The minimum binary measurement in this frame is a 3-cell event: outcome discreteness has a derived grain of 3 cells, conditional on the adopted quarter. If the quarter falls, the grain falls with it, and the discreteness itself survives on counts alone. Two mature literatures own discreteness as a postulate, and the derived grain is translated into each one’s own terms: causal set theory grades ADDRESS, with the direction of the implication printed — they postulate as kinematics what this frame derives a boundary cousin of from bookkeeping, and the cousin is not the object they postulate; causal dynamical triangulations grade RHYME — the frame contains no diffusion process, so it makes no prediction about dimensional running. The home headline is not spent: the vacuum catastrophe stands NOT SOLVED / PARTIAL, producing-count 0.
