The Torsion-Container Blueprints — Given to the World
On October 30, 2026, William Alexander Aldred released the blueprints of his torsion-container design as an open release: public domain, free for anyone to read, copy, share, and build on. No patents — he will not patent it, and this publication is defensive: the design is now prior art on a dated public record, so no person, company, or government can lock it up.

The dedication, in short
I designed this machine and drew these blueprints, and I am giving them to the world. No permission needed, no fee, no strings. It belongs to everybody — which is to say it can never be taken away from anybody.— William Alexander Aldred, from the Open Release dedication, October 30, 2026
The full dedication, the file manifest, and the grades are in OPEN-RELEASE.md — part of the release itself.
What the design is
The blueprint (Rev C) describes the drive core of a craft that is, in the designer's frame, a time machine — one machine, not two. A heavy superconducting element, spun with electric current inside a ceramic torsion container, becomes a plasma held dead center by a spinning torsion ring; outside-in, the stack is a thermal skin, a cryogenic layer, the ceramic container, the ring, and the core. The fuel was determined on October 29, 2026 from published physical properties: tantalum-181.
The grades — printed at full size
- This is a paper design study. No device exists. Nothing has been built.
- No dimension has a value. Every measurement is a parameter — a symbol. The blueprint's 18 open parameters are carried in an Unknowns Table, none invented.
- THERMODYNAMICS CLEAN · DESIGN COHERENT — the design violates no thermodynamics and hangs together as drawn.
- The torsion channel is UNPROVEN. Spin sourcing torsion is real in the Einstein–Cartan equations as a coupling; it has never been demonstrated as a force at any usable strength.
- Confinement and on-demand folding are OPEN PROBLEMS — the design's own, printed here at the same size as everything else.
- BUBBLE CHANNEL UNPROVEN · SCALE UNMET.
- The thermal skin rests on published, peer-reviewed physics (Nature Communications 17:5739, 2026), with its authors' limit carried in the blueprint: demonstrated around a passive cavity; a self-heating core is their stated open problem.
- The blueprint contains no fabrication steps and no operating procedures — by design. It is the shape of an idea, published so the idea can never be owned.

Package A2 — The Torsion-Ring Spin Rig
The first build package (October 30, 2026) addresses the blueprint's Unknown #15: a room-temperature spin rig for the torsion ring — the bearing, concentricity, and runout test the ring design calls for — publicly deposited as a supplement to the Rev C blueprint above.

SPIN-RIG-PACKAGE.pdf — on ZenodoThe 40-page package: the rig, its parameters, concepts, instrumentation, test protocol, bill of materials, safety case, unknowns, grades, and the review — with three figures.- This is a paper design study. Nothing has been built, spun, or measured.
- Buildability A as revised — the review's blockers were closed in revision; the grade stands as revised, not as first drawn.
- Claim grade: mechanical feasibility only. The package claims that the rig can be built and run as specified — nothing about the torsion channel, the machine, or the physics program.
- Whole-ring arrest is prevented, not contained — the safety case's basis, printed at full size.
