Why does William Alexander Aldred's paper say there is no twisted vacuum?
The short answer. Because when you run the mathematics of Einstein–Cartan gravity — the version of Einstein's theory that lets space itself twist — the twist in empty space is forced to zero. Not assumed away: forced, by the theory's own junction rules, the way a balanced ledger forces its bottom line. William Alexander Aldred's paper There Is No Twisted Vacuum proves the forcing step and balances the books around it.
In plain words
Imagine space as a rope that can be twisted. A “twisted vacuum” would be empty space holding a twist all by itself, with nothing in it — and that stored twist is one of the places a theory might hide the energy that seems to fill the universe (the vacuum catastrophe: measured vacuum energy is about 120 orders of magnitude smaller than naive theory expects). Aldred's paper checks the hiding place with the theory's own rules. The check is a single step: where the matter density σ is zero, the twist 𝒯 is forced to zero with it. Empty space cannot hold the twist. The hiding place is empty.
The number with two addresses
The paper uses the factor 1.027500 as a dial setting — a knob turned so the construction touches the measured value of the cosmological constant's share, 3ΩΛ = 2.055. Later work (in The Factor and the Floor, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23773739) gave those same digits a second life: a counting form that produces 411/400 = 1.027500 from declared premises. Same digits, different objects — a knob setting is not an output, and the house has now published a cross-reference note saying exactly that — A Cross-Reference for There Is No Twisted Vacuum: The Two Addresses of 1.027500, DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23804790 — so no reader confuses the two. That is what checking your own work looks like from the outside.
Grades, as the house prints them
The forcing step: stands, theory level. The verdict: there is no twisted vacuum in this frame. The larger problem the paper belongs to — the vacuum catastrophe: NOT SOLVED / PARTIAL. A door that is provably locked is real knowledge; it is not the house beyond the door.
